"OOOOOH WOW!" Is all I can say from the moment I stepped foot in Empress and Hierophant. My friend, Corvus, passed me a landmark a couple of days back, suggesting that I visit this sim. The landmark itself looked stunning, so I was sure to put it on the top of my list in my travels. I want to take a quick moment to say 'THANK YOU CORVUS!!" for sending me this suggestion!
The moment I landed, I felt like I had been whisked away to another world, completely separate from the rest of the grid. The textures, the lighting...amazing! Upon landing, there is a small kiosk with some group information and announcements of upcoming additions to this astounding hideaway. There is also a board to click, to receive a note card listing three different lighting settings that are suggested while touring this sim. I HIGHLY suggest that you set your lighting to the recommended note! All the instructions are there on how to achieve this, and as you will see in the following pictures they are WELL worth the time spent in plugging in the numbers.
I was, unfortunately, unable to contact the sim owner. Had left an offline, but I understand completely that real life is a thousand times more important than SL. So I am unable to give much background to this sim, however, I am able to give my direct impressions and thoughts.
I had taken a friend with me to see this breathtaking view, and within a few steps down the well laid out paths through Empress and Hierophant, I began to notice randomly placed stones. I wondered, at first, if they had any underlying significance to them, so I had written myself a note to ask about them, in the event I was able to contact the owners of this secluded paradise. My friend, called me back a couple of steps as we proceeded down the path, and with his keen eye, noted that these rocks were actually clickable, and produced a set of poses..cuddles, hugs, kisses...HOW CREATIVE!
After circling through the various poses. We continued on in our adventure. The scenery was astounding. You feel as though you are surrounded by such beauty, that it requires a quiet reverence, an acute appreciation for the imagination of its creators. The bagpipes playing quietly in the background demanding your utmost respect for its raw beauty, your emotions rising up within you, taking your breath away for a brief moment.
Scattered along the rolling hills and landscape, are small clusters of sheep, brilliantly created, crafted, and perfectly placed, *chuckles to herself as she remembers the poor lonely sheep adrift in the boat as its friends looked on helpless*
Sinking deeper into this all encompassing environment, we discover a shop of beautifully crafted items, a harpsichord, the SHEEP! YOU CAN BUY them! I love them!!
This sim looks to still be under some minor construction and is looking forward to some updates..the cottages that are littered throughout the landscape, look to be up and coming "bed and breakfast" getaway rentals. what a great idea..spend some time away with a loved one, a close friend, or whomever you chose.
BRILLIANT! Beautiful! Breathtaking..not enough words to describe this well planned, well dreamed sim! Kudos to its creators for dreaming and creating this peaceful getaway, to come and sit with friends, or alone, gazing off across the foggy waters to just lose yourself in the music and the ambiance of such an astounding creation!
As with my previous posts...I just cannot seem to find words adequate enough to describe and fully paint the pictures of these places...so PLEASE! Go see them for yourself! Another top pick! Absolutely wonderful! I Cannot say it enough!
Just so you get an idea of just how amazing this place is. NONE of these pictures were retouched, or altered in anyway! They were a direct, raw, snapshot taken from the SL client alone and uploaded to my blogger instantly!! You really should go see this for yourself!
